Muhammad ibn Abi Harun informed me that Ishaq ibn Ibrahim narrated to them, saying: I asked Abu 'Abd Allah about one who prefers 'Ali over 'Uthman. He said: "This is an evil man. We begin with what the Companions of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, and whom the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, favored."
