589 - 'Abd Allah ibn Muhammad informed me, saying: 'Ali ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Abi Ya'qub related to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Yusuf al-Tabba' related to us, saying: Abu Bakr ibn Ziyad told me that he said to Bishr ibn al-Harith: "What do you say regarding the preference [of the Companions]?" He said: "Abu Bakr, and 'Umar, and 'Uthman."
