Ahmad ibn al-Faraj Abu 'Utaybah al-Himsi informed us, saying: Damrah narrated to us, saying: 'Ali ibn Abi Hamalah narrated to us, on the authority of his father, who said: "I saw Mu'awiyah wearing a patched qaba' (outer garment) while he was upon the pulpit."
