683 - 'Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Shakir informed us, saying: Abu Usamah told us, saying: Hammad ibn Zayd told us, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, who said: "Mu'awiyah followed the conduct of 'Umar ibn al-Khattab for years, without deviating from any of it."
٦٨٣ - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شَاكِرٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، قَالَ: ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ: «عَمِلَ مُعَاوِيَةُ بِسِيرَةِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ سِنِينَ لَا يَخْرِمُ مِنْهَا شَيْئًا»
