696 - Abu Bakr al-Marwudhi informed us, saying: Abu 'Abd Allah narrated to us, saying: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Mu'awiyah ibn Salih, from Yunus ibn Sayf, from al-Harith ibn Ziyad, from Abu Ruhm, from al-'Irbad ibn Sariyah, who said: I heard the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, calling to the suhur (pre-dawn meal) in the month of Ramadan, saying: "Come to the blessed meal." And I heard him say: "O Allah, teach Mu'awiyah accounting and writing, and protect him from the punishment."
٦٩٦ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْمَرُّوذِيُّ، قَالَ: ثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ سَيْفٍ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ أَبِي رُهْمٍ، عَنِ الْعِرْبَاضِ بْنِ سَارِيَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ يَدْعُو إِلَى السَّحُورِ ⦗٤٥٠⦘ يَقُولُ: «هَلُمُّوا إِلَى الْغَدَاءِ الْمُبَارَكِ» وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: «اللَّهُمَّ عَلِّمْ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْحِسَابَ وَالْكِتَابَ، وَقِهِ الْعَذَابَ»
