438 - 'Abd al-Malik informed me, saying: Ibn Hanbal narrated to us, saying: Isma'il narrated to us, saying: Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah, who said: Abu Musa said: "If the killing of 'Uthman had been a form of guidance, the [Muslim] community would have milked milk from it, but it was a misguidance, so the community milked blood from it."
