453 - Muhammad ibn Abi Harun informed me that Ishaq ibn Ibrahim related to them, saying: I read to Abu 'Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Ja'far, and he said: Shu'bah related to us, from al-Mughirah, from Ibrahim, that he used to narrate that 'Ali was asked about a woman who deflowered a girl who was in the care of her husband, out of fear that he might marry her, and she claimed that the girl had committed adultery. He said: "Speak, O Hasan." He said: "She is liable for the dowry and the hadd (prescribed) punishment." 'Ali said: "If you were to task camels with milling, they would mill." He said: So I heard Abu 'Abd Allah say: They claim that since 'Ali spoke those words, camels have been tasked with milling ever since that day.
