949 - Musa ibn Sahl informed me, saying: Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Asadi narrated to us, saying: Ibrahim ibn al-Harith related to me, saying: It was said to Abu 'Abd Allah: 'Should I pray over the Qadari?' Abu 'Abd Allah did not answer, so I said to him, while Abu 'Abd Allah was listening: 'If he is a person of innovation, he should not be spoken to, the greeting (salam) should not be offered to him, one should not pray behind him, nor should one pray over him [at his funeral].' Abu 'Abd Allah then said: 'May Allah grant you well-being, O Abu Ishaq, and reward you with goodness,' as if he were impressed by my statement.
