He said: 'Isma'il ibn Abi Khalid narrated from Qays ibn Abi Hazim, who said: "Marwan looked at Talha ibn 'Ubayd Allah on the Day of the Camel and said: 'I shall not seek revenge for my blood after today.' Then he shot him with an arrow and killed him." I asked: 'Who says this?' He replied: 'Waki' from Isma'il ibn Abi Khalid.' I said: 'They narrated to me from 'Amr ibn Marzuq, from 'Imran al-Qattan, from Qatada, from al-Jarud ibn Abi Sabra, who said: "Marwan looked at Talha ibn 'Ubayd Allah on the Day of the Camel and said: 'I shall not seek revenge for my blood after today.' Then he shot him with an arrow and killed him." He replied: 'I do not know.'
