1173 - Abu Abd Allah narrated to us, saying: Mu'awiyah ibn Hisham and Abu Ahmad narrated to us, saying: Sufyan narrated to us, from Alqamah ibn Marthad, from Sulayman ibn Buraydah, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) used to teach them, when they went out to the graveyards, to say: "Peace be upon you, O inhabitants of the dwellings, among the believers and the Muslims. Indeed, we, if Allah wills, will join you." Mu'awiyah ibn Hisham added: "You are our predecessors, and we are your followers, and we ask Allah for well-being for us and for you."
١١٧٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، وَأَبُو أَحْمَدَ، قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُعَلِّمُهُمْ إِذَا خَرَجُوا إِلَى الْمَقَابِرِ فَكَانَ يَقُولُ: «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلَ الدِّيَارِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمِينَ، إِنَّا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ بِكُمْ لَاحِقُونَ» . قَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ: «أَنْتُمْ فَرَطُنَا، وَنَحْنُ لَكُمْ تَبَعٌ، وَنَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ لَنَا وَلَكُمُ الْعَافِيَةَ»
