1193 - Abu Bakr informed us, he said: Abu 'Abd Allah narrated to us, he said: Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Isma'il ibn Abi Khalid, he said: 'Amir narrated to us, from Mu'adh ibn Jabal, that when the Prophet of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) sent him to Yemen, the people gathered around him. He praised Allah and extolled Him, then said: "O people, I am the messenger of the Messenger of Allah to you, that you should worship Him and not associate anything with Him, and that you should establish prayer and give Zakat. If you obey me, I will guide you to the path of right guidance. Lo! It is only Allah alone; and Paradise and Hellfire are a dwelling with no departure, an eternity with no death. Amma ba'd (to proceed)."
١١٩٣ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، قَالَ: ثنا عَامِرٌ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ، لَمَّا بَعَثَهُ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ اجْتَمَعَ النَّاسُ عَلَيْهِ، فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ، وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ وَقَالَ: «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنِّي رَسُولُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكُمْ، أَنْ تَعْبُدُوهُ وَلَا تُشْرِكُوا بِهِ شَيْئًا، وَتُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ، وَتُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ، وَإِنْ تُطِيعُونِي، أَهْدِكُمْ سَبِيلَ الرَّشَادِ، أَلَا إِنَّمَا هُوَ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ، وَالْجَنَّةُ وَالنَّارُ إِقَامَةٌ فَلَا ظَعْنٌ، خُلُودٌ فَلَا مَوْتٌ، أَمَّا بَعْدُ»
