1197 - Abu Bakr informed us, he said: Abu 'Abd Allah narrated to us, he said: 'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, he said: Ma'mar narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Karim al-Jazari, from Mujahid, that Abu Dharr asked the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) about faith (iman), and he recited to him this verse: "It is not righteousness that you turn your faces..." [Al-Baqarah: 177], until he completed the verse.
١١٩٧ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ: ثنا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ الْجَزَرِيِّ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، بِأَنَّ أَبَا ذَرٍّ " سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْإِيمَانِ، فَقَرَأَ عَلَيْهِ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ: {لَيْسَ الْبِرَّ} [البقرة: ١٧٧] أَنْ تُوَلُّوا وُجُوهَكُمْ حَتَّى خَتَمَ الْآيَةَ "
