1257 - Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Bahz ibn Hakim narrated to us, he said: Hammam narrated to us, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan and 'Ata', from Abu Hurayrah, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "A person does not commit theft at the time he is stealing while he is a believer, he does not commit adultery at the time he is committing it while he is a believer, he does not drink Khamr (intoxicant) at the time he is drinking it while he is a believer, he does not engage in ghulul (treachery/stealing from war spoils) at the time he is doing so while he is a believer, and he does not plunder a plunder—'Ata' said: at the time he is plundering—of high value while he is a believer." It was said to him: "His faith is stripped from him, but if he repents, Allah will accept his repentance."
