1624 - Abu 'Abd Allah narrated to us, saying: 'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Sufyan, from al-A'mash, from Abu Zabyan, that Hudhayfah visited a man to inquire after his health and saw that he had placed a thread on his upper arm upon which an incantation (ruqyah) had been performed. He said: He asked, "What is this?" The man replied, "It is for the fever." He stood up in anger and said, "Had you died, I would not have performed the funeral prayer over you."
