1643 - He said: Abu 'Abd Allah narrated to us, saying: Waki' narrated to us, saying: al-A'mash narrated to us, from Abu Wa'il, from Hudhayfah, who said: "The hypocrites among you are worse than the hypocrites who were present during the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)." We said: "How is that, O Abu 'Abd Allah?" He said: "Indeed, those ones used to conceal their hypocrisy, whereas these ones have made it public."
١٦٤٣ - قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: ثنا وَكِيعٌ، قَالَ: ثنا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ ⦗٧٢⦘ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ، قَالَ: " الْمُنَافِقُونَ الَّذِينَ فِيكُمْ شَرٌّ مِنَ الْمُنَافِقِينَ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. قُلْنَا: وَكَيْفَ ذَاكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: «إِنَّ أُولَئِكَ كَانُوا يُسِرُّونَ نِفَاقَهُمْ، وَإِنَّ هَؤُلَاءِ أَعْلَنُوهُ»
