1659 - He said: Abu 'Abd Allah narrated to us, saying: Waki' narrated to us, from Shu'bah, from al-Hakam, who said: Ibrahim said: 'Abd Allah said: "Singing sprouts hypocrisy in the heart." I said: Who narrated this to you? He said: Hammad. Shu'bah said: So I went to Hammad, and he affirmed it.
١٦٥٩ - قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: ثنا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، قَالَ: قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ: «الْغِنَاءُ يُنْبِتُ النِّفَاقَ فِي الْقَلْبِ» . قُلْتُ: مَنْ حَدَّثَكَ؟ قَالَ: حَمَّادٌ. قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: فَأَتَيْتُ حَمَّادًا، فَأَقَرَّ بِهِ
