1766 - Yusuf ibn al-Dahhak al-Mukharrimi, the jurist, informed us, saying: I heard Sulayman ibn Harb saying: It reached me that Sha'bawayh the judge sent to Yahya ibn Aktham: "Why do you oppose us?" Yahya sent back to him: "O Shu'ayb, we do not comprehend much of what you say. We see you as weak among us, and were it not for your kinsmen, we would have stoned you, and you are not dear to us." Sulayman said: "How excellent was what Yahya wrote to him! And even if he did not write it, and even if it was not written, how excellent is what the one who said it has said!"
