The Exalted’s saying: "Is it not that every time they make a covenant, a party of them casts it aside?" [Al-Baqarah: 100] meaning: they breached it, "a party of them," that is: the Jews, "nay, most of them do not believe," similar to His saying: "but they believe only a little." [Verse 101]
قَوْله تَعَالَى: ﴿أَو كلما عَاهَدُوا عهدا نبذه﴾ أَي: نقضه ﴿فريق مِنْهُم﴾ يَعْنِي: الْيَهُود ﴿بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يُؤمنُونَ﴾ كَقَوْلِه: ﴿فقليلا مَا يُؤمنُونَ﴾. [آيَة ١٠١]
