"And of the people is he who sells himself"—meaning: he sells his soul through Jihad—"seeking the pleasure of Allah; and Allah is Kind to the servants"—to the believers.
﴿وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَشْرِي نَفْسَهُ﴾ أَي: يَبِيع نَفسه بِالْجِهَادِ ﴿ابْتِغَاءَ مَرْضَاتِ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ رَءُوفٌ بِالْعِبَادِ﴾ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ.
