"Your wives are a place of cultivation for you, so come to your place of cultivation however you wish."

Yahya: From Nasr ibn Tarif, from Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir, from Jabir ibn Abd Allah who said: "The Jews said: 'If a man comes to his wife from behind, his child will be cross-eyed.' So Allah revealed: 'Your wives are a place of cultivation for you, so come to your place of cultivation however you wish.' If you wish, from the front, and if you wish, from behind, provided the way is the place of the child."

Muhammad said: His saying "a place of cultivation for you" is a metonymy, and the root of "al-harth" is cultivation; meaning: it is for the child just as land is for the crop.

Yahya: From Nasr ibn Tarif, from Qatadah, from Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "He who comes to his wife in her anus, it is the minor sodomy."
