"And the preservation of both does not weary Him." Mujahid said: meaning, it does not burden Him.
Muhammad said: It is said: A thing burdened him (adahu) and will burden him (ya'uduhu), and there is another dialect: He burdened him (wadahu) and will burden him (ya'iduhu). [Verse 256-257]
﴿وَلَا يئوده حفظهما﴾ قَالَ مُجَاهِد: أَي: لَا يثقل عَلَيْهِ.
قَالَ مُحَمَّد: يَقُولُ: آده الشي يئوده، وَفِيه لُغَة أُخْرَى: وأده يئده. [آيَة ٢٥٦ - ٢٥٧]
