Muhammad said: "Baghyan" (jealous animosity) is in the accusative case (mansub) conveying the meaning of "li-l-baghy" (out of jealous animosity). "And whoever disbelieves in the verses of Allah, then indeed Allah is swift in reckoning"—meaning: the punishment. That is, when He intends to punish them, He does not delay them from that time. This is the interpretation of al-Hasan. [Verse 20-22]
قَالَ مُحَمَّد: نصب ﴿بغيا﴾ عَلَى معنى: للبغي. ﴿وَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحساب﴾ يَعْنِي: الْعَذَاب؛ أَي: إِذا أَرَادَ أَن يعذبهم، لم يؤخرهم عَنْ ذَلِكَ الْوَقْت؛ هَذَا تَفْسِير الحَسَن. [آيَة ٢٠ - ٢٢]
