"Say, 'If you should love Allah, then follow me, [so] Allah will love you.'" Al-Hasan said: He made the love of His Messenger [equivalent to] His love, and his obedience [equivalent to] His obedience.
﴿قُلْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ اللَّهَ فَاتبعُوني يحببكم الله﴾ قَالَ الْحسن: جعل محبَّة رَسُوله محبته، وطاعته طَاعَته.
