الترجمة · EN

"And it is not [permitted] for a soul to die except by the permission of Allah, a decree with a set term." It does not come early, nor is it delayed from it.

Muhammad said: "Kitaban" (a decree) is in the accusative case (mansub) with the meaning: He has written that as a decree. "And whoever desires the reward of the world, We give him thereof," similar to His saying: "Whoever should desire the immediate - We hasten for him from it what We will to whom We intend. And whoever desires the Hereafter - We give him thereof," meaning: Paradise.

Muhammad said: And His saying: "And whoever desires the reward of the world," it was said: Its meaning is: Whoever intends nothing by his deed but the world.
