[remoteness]: It is said: a man is junub (a stranger): [foreigner].
Yahya reported from al-Mu'alla ibn Hilal, from Muharrir ibn 'Abd Allah, from 'Ata' al-Khurasani, who said: The Messenger of God (peace be upon him) said: "Neighbors are of three types: a neighbor who has one right, a neighbor who has two rights, and a neighbor who has three rights. As for the neighbor who has three rights: he is the Muslim neighbor who is a relative, for he has the right of Islam, the right of kinship, and the right of neighborhood. As for the one who has two rights: he is the Muslim neighbor, for he has the right of Islam and the right of neighborhood. As for the one who has one right: he is the polytheist neighbor, for he has the right of neighborhood."
