Ibrahim the Book and the Wisdom"—meaning: prophethood—"and We gave them a great kingdom." For Solomon, son of David, was of the family of Ibrahim, and Solomon had one thousand wives, and David had one hundred wives. How, then, can they envy you, O Muhammad, for nine wives?!
إِبْرَاهِيم الْكتاب وَالْحكمَة﴾ يَعْنِي: النُّبُوَّة ﴿وَآتَيْنَاهُمْ مُلْكًا عَظِيمًا﴾ فسليمان بْن دَاوُد من آل إِبْرَاهِيم، وَقد كَانَ عِنْد سُلَيْمَان ألف امْرَأَة، وَعند دَاوُد مائَة امْرَأَة، فَكيف يحسدونك يَا مُحَمَّد على تسع نسْوَة؟!
