"And of them is he who believed in it, and of them is he who turned away from it." Mujahid said: Meaning the Jews; some of them believed in what was revealed to Muhammad, and some of them turned away from it, meaning: he denied it. "And sufficient is Hell as a blazing fire" for whoever turned away from it.
﴿فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ آمَنَ بِهِ وَمِنْهُمْ من صد عَنهُ﴾ قَالَ مُجَاهِد: يَعْنِي: الْيَهُود مِنْهُم من آمن بِمَا أنزل على مُحَمَّد، وَمِنْهُم من صد عَنْهُ؛ يَعْنِي: جحد بِهِ ﴿وَكَفَى بِجَهَنَّمَ سعيراً﴾ لمن صد عَنهُ.
