{Not equal are those believers who remain [at home], other than the disabled, and the mujahideen (those who strive) in the way of Allah with their wealth and their lives.}
Yahya [narrated] from Yunus ibn Abi Ishaq, from his father, from al-Bara' ibn 'Azib who said: "When this verse was revealed: {Not equal are those believers who remain [at home]}—and it did not mention the disabled—{and the mujahideen in the way of Allah}, Ibn Umm Maktum came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ);
﴿لَا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ غَيْرُ أُولِي الضَّرَرِ وَالْمُجَاهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيل الله بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وأنفسهم.
يَحْيَى: عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ: ((لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ: (لَا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ من الْمُؤمنِينَ﴾ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ الضَّرَرَ ﴿وَالْمُجَاهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيل الله﴾ - جَاءَ ابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ إِلَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ؛
