تفسير القرآن العزيز لابن أبي زمنين
مجلد 1 · صفحة 794١٠٠

الترجمة · EN

"And whoever emigrates in the way of Allah will find in the earth many places of refuge and abundance," meaning: a place of emigration to which he can migrate.

Muhammad said: The "muragham" (place of refuge) and the "muhajir" (place of emigration) are one and the same; it is said: I have practiced "muragham" (contention/leaving) and "muhajara" (emigration). Its origin is that when a man accepted Islam, he would leave his people as a "muraghim" to them, meaning: angry and severing ties with them. "And whoever leaves his home as an emigrant to Allah and His Messenger..." (until the end of the verse).

Yahya: On the authority of Qurrah ibn Khalid, from al-Dahhak ibn Muzahim, who said: "A man from the tribe of Kinanah heard that the angels had struck the faces and backs of the people of Kinanah on the day of Badr, and he was on the verge of death. He said: 'Take me out to the Prophet.' He was directed towards the Prophet (peace be upon him), but he reached a mountain pass that he had named, and he passed away there; so Allah revealed this verse concerning him."
