"What would Allah do with your punishment if you are grateful and believe?" That is: Allah is Self-Sufficient; He does not punish one who is grateful nor one who believes. [Verses 148-149]
﴿مَا يَفْعَلُ اللَّهُ بِعَذَابِكُمْ إِنْ شكرتم وآمنتم﴾ أَي: أَن الله غَنِي لَا يعذب شاكراً وَلَا مُؤمنا. [آيَة ١٤٨ - ١٤٩]
