"wa laqad rawadtu-hu 'an nafsi-hi fasta'sam" (And I certainly sought to seduce him, but he refrained)—that is, he abstained.
"wa la-yakunan min as-saghirin" (And he will surely be among those who are humiliated)—that is, among the disgraced.

﴿وَلَقَدْ رَاوَدْتُهُ عَنْ نَفْسِهِ فَاسْتَعْصَمَ﴾ أَي: امْتنع.
﴿وليكوناً من الصاغرين﴾ أَي: من الأذلاء.
