"Then there will come after that a year in which the people will be aided with rain, and in which they will press [juice/oil]." Qatada said: Meaning, they will press grapes and olives.
Muhammad said: His saying "in which the people will be aided with rain" (yughath), if derived from 'ghayth' (rain), is from your saying: "God aided the lands with rain" (ghatha Allah al-bilad yagithuha). And whoever considers it to be from meeting/reaching out [for help], then it is from "I aided such-and-such person" (aghath-tu fulanan aghithuhu ighatan).
It was also said that "they will press" (ya'surun) means they will be saved (yunjun); al-'usrah in the language is salvation. He said: So when the King was informed that it was Joseph who interpreted the dream, he said: "Bring him to me."
