And they establish prayer," meaning: the five daily prayers in their state of ablution, their prescribed times, their bowing, and their prostration. "And they spend from what We have provided them," meaning: the obligatory Zakat, according to the interpretation of al-Hasan. "Privately and publicly," it is recommended.
