"then he raised meat for them at the top of the chest, so the boy would open the upper door and look toward the sky and see it as it was, then he would open the lower door and look toward the earth and see it like a vast body of water. He continued in this manner until he began to look and could not see the earth, only the air, while looking above and seeing the sky as it was. When he saw that, he lowered the meat, and the vultures descended. It is said—and Allah knows best—that he passed by a mountain, and the mountain feared it might be a command from Allah, so it nearly moved from its place. That is the meaning of His saying: "Though their plot was such that the mountains would move from it."
Surah Ibrahim, from verse (47) to verse (52)."
ثُمَّ رَفَعَ لَهُمَا لَحْمًا فِي أَعْلَى التَّابُوتِ، فَجَعَلَ الْغُلامُ يَفْتَحُ الْبَابَ الأَعْلَى، فَيَنْظُرُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَيَرَاهَا كَهَيْئَتِهَا، ثُمَّ يَفْتَحُ البَّابَ الأَسْفَلِ فَيَنْظُرُ إِلَى الأَرْضِ فَيَرَاهَا مِثْلَ اللُّجَّةِ، فَلَمْ يَزَلْ كَذَلِكَ حَتَّى جَعَلَ يَنْظُرُ فَلا يَرَى الأَرْضَ وَإِنَّمَا هُوَ الْهَوَاءُ، وَيَنْظُرُ فَوْقَ فَيَرَى السَّمَاءَ كَهَيْئَتِهَا، فَلَمَّا رَأَى ذَلِكَ صَوَّبَ اللَّحْمَ فَتَصَوَّبَتِ النُّسُورُ، فَيُقَالُ - وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ -: إِنَّهُ مَرَّ بِجَبْلٍ فَخَافَ الْجَبْلَ أَنْ يَكُونَ أَمْرًا مِنَ اللَّهِ، فَكَادَ يَزُولُ مِنْ مَكَانِهِ؛ فَذَلِكَ قَوْلُهُ: ﴿وَإِنْ كَانَ مَكْرُهُمْ لِتَزُولَ مِنْهُ الْجبَال﴾ ".
سُورَة إِبْرَاهِيم من الْآيَة (٤٧) إِلَى الْآيَة (٥٢).
