Allah said: "We do not send down the angels" until you see them "except with the truth," meaning: with their punishment and their eradication, "and they would not then be reprieved" for the blinking of an eye after the descent of the angels.
Surah Al-Hijr from verse (9) to verse (15).
قَالَ اللَّهُ: ﴿مَا نُنَزِّلُ الْمَلائِكَةَ﴾ حَتَّى تعاينونهم ﴿إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ﴾ يَعْنِي: بِعَذَابِهِمْ وَاسْتِئْصَالِهِمْ ﴿وَمَا كَانُوا إِذن منظرين﴾ طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ بَعْدَ نُزُولِ الْمَلائِكَةِ.
