"And the people of the city came, rejoicing" at the guests of Lot, because of what they intended to do.
﴿وَجَاء أهل الْمَدِينَة يستبشرون﴾ بِأَضْيَافِ لوطٍ؛ لِمَا يُرِيدُونَ مِنْ عَمَلِ
