"He created man from a drop [of fluid]"—meaning the polytheist, according to the interpretation of al-Hasan—"then behold, he is an open adversary," [meaning] clear in his disputation.
﴿خلق الْإِنْسَان من نُطْفَة﴾ يَعْنِي: الْمُشْرِكَ؛ فِي تَفْسِيرِ الْحَسَنِ ﴿فَإِذا هُوَ خصيم مُبين﴾ بَين الْخُصُومَة.
