[Those whom the angels take in death] means: the angels seize their souls, [while they are pure] meaning: both in life and in death. [They say, "Peace be upon you; enter Paradise for what you used to do."]

Yahya: On the authority of Haywah ibn Shurayh, he said:

The angels come to the ally of Allah at the time of death and say: "Peace be upon you, O ally of Allah. Allah sends you greetings of peace." And they give him glad tidings of Paradise.
