that which has no vegetation, so He gives it life through the rain, and it grows after it had no vegetation in it. "Indeed in that is a sign for a people who listen," so they know that He who gave life to this dead earth until it grew vegetation is capable of giving life to the dead.
الَّتِي لَيْسَ فِيهَا نَبَاتٌ؛ فَيُحْيِيهَا بِالْمَطَرِ؛ فَتَنْبُتَ بَعْدَ إِذْ لَمْ يَكُنْ فِيهَا نباتٌ ﴿إِنَّ فِي ذَلِك لآيَة لقوم يسمعُونَ﴾ فَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ الَّذِي أَحْيَا هَذِهِ الأَرْضَ الْمَيْتَةَ حَتَّى أَنْبَتَتْ - قادرٌ على أَن يحيي الْمَوْتَى.
