"And they will cast toward Allah that day the submission," meaning: they will submit and believe in Allah, and they will disbelieve in the devils and the idols. "And lost from them is what they used to invent."
﴿وَأَلْقَوْا إِلَى اللَّهِ يَوْمَئِذٍ السَّلَمَ﴾ أَيْ: اسْتَسْلَمُوا وَآمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ، وَكَفَرُوا بِالشَّيَاطِينِ وَالأَوْثَانِ ﴿وَضَلَّ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ﴾.
