the truth from You, then rain down upon us stones from the sky' and similar statements.
'The judgment is only for Allah' that is, the decree belongs to none but Allah. 'He declares the truth'—it is also recited as 'He relates the truth' derived from al-qasas (narrating/relating)—'and He is the best of judges' in matters of judgment.
الْحَقَّ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ فَأَمْطِرْ عَلَيْنَا حِجَارَة من السَّمَاء﴾ وَأَشْبَاهِ ذَلِكَ.
﴿إِنِ الْحُكْمُ إِلا لله﴾ إِن الْقَضَاء إِلَّا لله ﷺ ﴿يَقْضِي الْحَقَّ﴾ وَتُقْرَأُ أَيْضًا ﴿يَقُصُّ الْحق﴾ مِنَ الْقَصَصِ ﴿وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الْفَاصِلِينَ﴾ بالحكم.
