"And his people argued with him. He said, 'Do you argue with me concerning Allah while He has guided me? And I fear not what you associate with Him,'"—meaning: their idols which they used to worship.
Muhammad said:
Abu Ubaid mentioned that Nafi' recited: "Atuhajjunni" (Do you argue with me?) with the nun lightened, and similarly: "Say, 'Do you command me to worship other than Allah?'" He said: And the people of Iraq recited both with the nun intensified (heavy): "Atuhajjunni" and "Ta'murunni."

﴿وَحَاجَّهُ قَوْمُهُ قَالَ أَتُحَاجُّونِّي فِي اللَّهِ وَقَدْ هَدَانِ وَلا أَخَافُ مَا تشركون بِهِ﴾ ٦ يَعْنِي: أَصْنَامَهُمُ الَّتِي كَانُوا يَعْبُدُونَ.
قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ:
