"And you have certainly come to Us alone as We created you the first time." He says:
We created every human being alone, and he comes to Us on the Day of Resurrection alone.
Muhammad said: "Furada" (alone) is the plural of "fard" (individual); it is as if it were the plural of "fardan," just as they said: "kaslan" (lazy) and "kusala" (lazy ones).
"And you have left behind you whatever We bestowed upon you," meaning: whatever We gave you, "behind your backs," meaning: in the world.
"And We do not see with you your intercessors," meaning: your gods, "whom you claimed were among you as partners," meaning: that they were partners to Allah regarding you, so you worshipped them besides Allah. "The bond between you has been severed," meaning: your connection, by which some of you were associated with others in the worship of idols, [has been severed].
