تفسير القرآن العزيز لابن أبي زمنين
مجلد 2 · صفحة 238

الترجمة · EN

Muhammad said: The meaning of 'khadiran' (greenery) is the same as the meaning of 'akhdar' (green).

"And from the palm trees, of its emerging fruit are clusters hanging low. And [We produce] gardens of grapevines" (Quran 6:99). Muhammad said: The meaning is: We brought forth from the water greenery and gardens.

"And the olives and the pomegranates."

Yahya said: Meaning: And We brought forth the olive and the pomegranate, "similar and dissimilar" (Quran 6:99), meaning: similar in their taste and color, and dissimilar. "Look at [each of] its fruit when it yields" (Quran 6:99), meaning: when it is fresh, "and [at] its ripening" (Quran 6:99), meaning: and its maturity. "Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe" (Quran 6:99). Al-Hasan said: He says: He who brought forth this vegetation, this greenery, and these gardens from this water is able to bring the dead to life.

Muhammad said: The 'qinwan' are the fruit stalks; the singular is 'qinw'. It is pluralized according to the form of its dual, except that the vowels adhere to its nun in the plural, and similar to this are 'sinw' (branch) and 'sinwan' (branches).

Surah Al-An'am from verse (100) to verse (103).
