Yahya said: It reached me that it was revealed concerning Umar ibn al-Khattab and Abu Jahl ibn Hisham, then it is general thereafter.
قَالَ يحيى: بَلَغَنِي أَنَّهَا نَزَلَتْ فِي عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، وَأَبِي جَهْلِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ، ثُمَّ هِيَ عَامَّة بعد.
