"And for all are degrees according to what they have done," meaning: according to the extent of their deeds.
Yahya: On the authority of Ismail ibn Muslim, from Abu al-Mutawakkil al-Naji, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "A degree in Paradise is above another degree like the distance between the heaven and the earth. Indeed, a servant from the people of Paradise will raise his gaze, and there will flash for him a light that nearly snatches his vision."
﴿وَلكُل دَرَجَات مِمَّا عمِلُوا﴾ أَيْ: عَلَى قَدْرِ أَعْمَالِهِمْ.
يحيى: عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ النَّاجِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ
رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ: الدَّرَجَةُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ فَوْقَ الدَّرَجَةِ كَمَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ، وَإِنَّ الْعَبْدَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ لَيَرْفَعُ (بَصَرَهُ فَيَلْمَعُ لَهُ) برقٌ يَكَادُ يَخْطَفُ بَصَرَهُ؛
