{Say, "Bring forward your witnesses who will testify that Allah has forbidden this,"} meaning: that which they prohibited of livestock and crops. {If they testify, then do not testify with them}, for it is [sheer folly], and that shall not be. {And those who do not believe in the Hereafter and who equate others with their Lord,} having equated idols with Him, so they worshipped them.
Surah Al-An'am from verse (151) to verse (153).
﴿قُلْ هَلُمَّ شُهَدَاءَكُمُ الَّذِينَ يَشْهَدُونَ أَن الله حرم هَذَا﴾ يَعْنِي: مَا حَرَّمُوا مِنَ الْأَنْعَامِ وَالْحَرْثِ ﴿فَإِنْ شَهِدُوا فَلا تَشْهَدْ مَعَهم﴾ وَإِنَّمَا [هُوَ سَفَهٌ] وَلَا يَكُونُ ذَلِكَ ﴿وَالَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالآخِرَةِ وهم برَبهمْ يعدلُونَ﴾ عدلوا بِهِ الْأَصْنَام فعبدوها.
