"So send with me the Children of Israel." The Children of Israel were in their hands similar to the status of the people of the jizya (poll-tax) among us.
﴿فَأرْسل معي بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ﴾ وَكَانَ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ فِي أَيْديهم بِمَنْزِلَة أهل الْجِزْيَة فِينَا.
