"Indeed, this is a conspiracy you have conspired in the city," meaning: you said, 'O Musa, go and perform something; and when you have performed that, Pharaoh will summon us, and we will confirm your statement.'
"To drive its people out of it," meaning: to drive me and my people out by means of your magic and the magic of Musa.
﴿إِنَّ هَذَا لَمَكْرٌ مَكَرْتُمُوهُ فِي الْمَدِينَة﴾ (ل ١٠٩) قُلْتُمْ: يَا مُوسَى، اذْهَبْ فَاصْنَعْ شَيْئًا؛ فَإِذَا صَنَعْتَ ذَلِكَ دَعَانَا فِرْعَوْنُ فَصَدَّقْنَا مَقَالَتَكَ.
﴿لِتُخْرِجُوا مِنْهَا أَهلهَا﴾ أَيْ: لِتُخْرِجُونِي وَقَوْمِي بِسِحْرِكُمْ وَسِحْرِ مُوسَى.
