"And We certainly seized the people of Pharaoh with years of famine and a deficiency in fruits." Their land became barren, their livestock perished, and their fruits diminished; so they said, "This is because of the sorcery with which this man has bewitched us."
﴿وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَا آلَ فِرْعَوْنَ بِالسِّنِينَ وَنقص من الثمرات﴾ فَأَجْدَبَتْ أَرْضُهُمْ، وَهَلَكَتْ مَوَاشِيهِمْ، وَنَقَصَتْ ثِمَارُهُمْ؛ فَقَالُوا: هَذَا مِمَّا سَحَرَنَا بِهِ هَذَا الرجل.
